Uncle Vic

Uncle Vic is Australia’s only certified organic green tea, grown in the Victorian Alps and processed in Wangaratta. Inspired by a Japanese sencha tea, it is produced from the first and second flush. This vibrant tea contains a small amount of caffeine. It is full of antioxidants and offers health benefits.

Did you know that green tea and black tea come from the same plant species? The camellia sinesis. Green tea is steamed and fried straight after harvesting to stop the fermentation process. This allows for better retention of more nutrients and higher yields of antioxidants than fermented teas.

green tea

Asian cultures have been drinking green tea for more than 2000 years. The Heart Foundation even encourages adults to drink green tea for an optimal antioxidant intake.

Green tea can help improve cardiovascular health and is a natural aid in weight loss. The polyphenols found in green teas work to increase the metabolism by burning more kilojoules and increasing the body’s ability to burn fat.
